Monica Mehmi

Monica Mehmi holds more than 5 years of experience in financial and accounting advisory services. Monica is a Staff Accountant with Sangha CPA focusing on the needs of small businesses and startups.

Monica joined Sangha CPA, PC in 2009 and by 2010 was handling one of Sangha CPA’s biggest clients, a Virginia based service firm. Monica led the process of putting in place an accounting structure followed by a comprehensive financial analysis. This analysis was used by the management to access their efficiency in different business processes and supplemented critical business decision-making. Monica assessed the firm’s capital and liability considerations and successfully headed the refinancing of liabilities. Monica also created financial portfolios consisting of pro-forma reports to assist the executive board with bidding on government contracts, strategic and tactical decisions. Her work brought stability and efficiency to the firm. It was recognized by the Board of advisors and earned Monica laurels for delivering results and exceptional value.

Monica continues to work on management consulting projects with small businesses and startups. In addition to the above mentioned functions, her consultation entails creating investment proposals, talent acquisition, contract negotiation and policy creation & implementation.

Monica graduated with honors in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BS) with emphasis on Finance as a Magna Cum Laude from Carroll University, Wisconsin. She then earned Master in Professional Studies (MPS) in Public Relations from The Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Her capstone project for her Masters on Hire our Heroes, a veteran hiring non-profit, earned her a spot as an advisor on the executive board. She continues to dedicate her time to the cause.
